Blog feedback and Learner response

WWW: Some good work that shows you are recalling and building on the work you did in GCSE

Media a couple of years ago. Your 50 Cent RBK advert analysis contains some thoughtful points.

EBI: Blog formatting is poor in places - text not possible to read. You need to check and improve this. Some of your posts lack depth and detail - that is so crucial at A Level. Your Shreddies analysis is a good example - most of what you write is simply describing the advert (or denotation) rather than analysing it (connotation). Your media consumption post is worrying - far too many errors (interent?) and apparently you watch 200-500 hours of TV a week? Are you sure? This is lazy so early in the year...

LR: Reflect on your first month of AS Media. What is your strongest piece of work so far? What is

your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

Draft about what im going to do

The type of T.V programme opening we plan to make is a short opening of one.We are thinking of doing scenes of about 4-5 different people that will show what normal teenage life is like and towards the end include a dilemma that could happen to teenagers.

I am working with sadaf, daniel and shervin for the making of the T.V process.

I hope to achieve to show a real-life-like opening of a T.V teen programme.
I want to aim for a A-A* even.
I would like to show what im capable of in the processs of making this film.

Draft of my work

Two people will be on the poster.A man and a Young woman. The location be outside and where they will be put into position for the poster there will also be a picture of an office.the costume might be normal outdoor clothing as not many people get ready just to go and sit in the local park. The make up i might do as we need to be subtle because this is focused on in a outdoor area where you have to look nice but  not over the top.The title of the film is 'Working Relationship' The slogan/phrase line is 'From 9-5 tom 24/7' I chose the title as its about a woman and a man that work in the same place and are best friends and the slogan means what can you do-shows that there is some sort of complication going on in the relationship that hasn't happened yet.

The types of shots i would like to do are: long shots of the man and woman, face shots, side shots and have them back to back in the park to show where they are and where they are based.I might have the woman and man sitting together in the outdoor space to show that they are young and still go out. Also this means that they spend allot of time outdoors.

Log line

A young woman called Sasha and man called Daniel work together. They are always at each others throats..But when Daniel does something really bad and he turns to Sasha. She thinks that he just wants to use her for her help.
But is that what it really is?

My film genre is romantic/comedy.I chose this as its a genre that comes out fairly often and you can come out with different ideas each time.Romantic/comedy also has a good female audience that watch those types of movies. They also sale out fast because of the target audience. My audience is for females and ages 15-30.This is Good age that people would find funny, romantic and with a twist. This is also a genre that you cant get wrong as its easy and flexible to deal with. The main characters who are playing the role of  Sasha and Daniel.
I am going to plan out my images then get fair idea of what I'm going to do.
The film is linked to the film The Proposal. This film is about a man and a woman that don't get along but the woman needs help to stay in the country and asks the man to marry him.He refuses but gradually they get along and end up liking each other.

Brainstorm on the Original ideas

Brainstorm on the Original film ideas:

-Actors have to be unknown
-costume has to be included
-It has to have a good target audience
-The film/trailer has to have a good concept
-It has to have a specific genre
-It has to have a good age range.
-It has to have a good title to go with the film/trailler
-The poster for the trailer/film has to be include. The poster has to have key conventiions and key concept

Genres:
romantic
comedy
action
horror

Ages:
15 years of age and over

costume:
trousers
dress
skirt
suit and tie
This would have to depend on what genre i pick as i need to know what to do before i can start making my poster.

when making a poster i need to consider:the colour scheme, make sure that my image goes with film, title and key conventions are there and many more.

analysing a poster and trailer

The trailer of the batman movie shows mostly the main clips from the movie. This is to show what people are missing out on and it makes them want to watch the film.At the end of the trailer there is a production blurb of all the actors names and the age certificate.
The poster has a tag-line which is 'a fire will rise'.this keeps the movie quiet as you don't want to say much as you don't want to spoil the film and shock them.there is a production blurb at the bottom of the poster ans when the film is released. The central image is of batman as he is the main character and there is a background of an explosion that is made into the batman sign behind him.The costume is in black as bats are the colour black and you wont be able to see him in the dark.which goes with the film name.

three of the five posters and trailers.

The genre of the film is Horror
The film tag-line is "Before you die you see"This shows that its a horror film by the way the tag-line is said.It sort of tells you what the story is about if you have seen the trailer as the film is about a woman who sees a film. They make it sound dangerous and scary as its not a tag-line yiou would want to hear.
The poster has a tile and production blurb at the bottom of the poster.
It has a central image of a  circle. with a shiny light/ring round it to go with the title name.
They're aren't any people as the image. This is to keep the story a secret and not show what could happen in the film.

The genre of this film is Horror. The film tag-line is 'it never forgives,it never forgets'.This hsows the type movie it is as the tag-line is scary and gives a brief idea about what the film is about. The production blurb is at the bottom of the poster and the title is in red for it to stand out from the black background. This is a image of a woman.Who is the main scary character. They show only the scary character show that they need to be afraid and there is a creature/thing about.
The genre of film is comedy/chick flick. They don't have a tag line for this film.AS they want people aged yr s and over to come and buy/see the film and to keep it funny and interesting. They show an image of all the main characters in the film as there is a wedding coming up and the way they are dressed show that they must've had a long way to go for the wedding. The colour of the background goes well with what the characters are wearing.
